Day 13 of 28 – 253.6 lbs – Solid Meal Day
Almost another full week down and I have been able to stick to the diet. Although I had a close call on Wednesday with my protein arriving just as I ran out. The diet mainly consists of 10 servings of protein shakes a day with only one solid meal a week for 28 days. And today is one of those special days… solid meal day. On the menu today was charcoal grilled chicken breast over baby leaf salad with homemade avocado dressing and a baked sweet potato. I had this meal for lunch so that it would not be my last meal of the day and sitting in my stomach all night long. It was awesome. My younger (not for long) daughter help prepare it with me. We had a good time, cooking with your kids is great. Tomorrow is a Labor Day picnic and with social gathering comes temptations. I’m hoping that I can at least hold off until the baby is born on next Friday. Well we’ll see

Day 10 of 28 – 256.4 lbs – Running out of Protein
Saturday I realized that I did not have enough protein powder to last me for the week, so on Sunday night I ordered 6 tubs which will last me about 12 days. As of the is morning I now fully out of protein at home and at work before “eating” lunch, I only have 3 shakes left and 5 more to drink at work. I have yet to receive and order conformation from Biotest (which normally only takes 3 days to deliver). Which leaves me with a dilemma, I don’t want to buy more protein since I have 6 tubs on the way so unless it gets dropped off sometime today I will have to have some solid food, which I could stand to do for sanity sake. If I end up having solid food it will be some salmon and broccoli around the same calories that I would get from the shakes.

No Baby Today!
So today we had a minor “scare”. Angel had a normal pre-baby appointment and during that appointment they decided that they needed to run some more tests… at the hospital. Angel called me let me at work to let know what was going on. She asked me to come home because we could either be at the hospital for 1 hour or 4 days. I thought she meant 4 days for bed rest or something. Well after I got home she informed me that the 4 days would be for recovery time after the cesarean!!! So then it hit me…WE COULD BE HAVING THE BABY TODAY!!! So long story short the test and blood work came back fine, we did not have the baby today and we are still scheduled for Friday… until she goes to a follow up visit… Wednesday.
I do have to say even though having the baby today would have been a little off schedule, I was a little bummed that we did not have her today. Oh well… there always Wednesday (don’t tell Angel)

Day 8 of 28 – 257.6 lbs – Week 2
One week down and three to go… Last week went well. That’s not saying it wasn’t difficult. This weekend there was a lot of temptation in the form of birthday parties. There was also some timing issues that kept me from having my shakes when I needed to which caused me to be quite hungry and wanting to die of hunger. However, I made it through the week and only had 1 solid me. The solid meal I chose to get was Saturday lunch at Ruby Tuesdays with my younger daughter. I had a salad from the salad bar, an eight-ounce steak and broccoli. It was pretty good. I have 12 days until the baby comes which being at the hospital is going to make it difficult to stay true to the diet although I’m going to try as much as possible to say on it… wish me luck

Day 6 of 28 – 258.6 lbs – Solid Food Day
Well it’s been 5 days without any solid food, just good old Protein Shake about 5 times a day. I have to say I have been both looking forward and dreading my one solid meal a week meal. Why because it’s the time on the diet that I have to choose the right thing to eat. It’s not that I don’t know what the correct thing to eat is, I know it’s going to be a piece of protein (steak, chicken or fish) that around 8 oz and some veggies. Now where and how I’m going to get them is the issue. Out at a restaurant there is the opportunity to “just have one bite” of bread or pasta and I just don’t want to do that. On top of it we are going to be out all weekend at birthday parties… and that means BIRTHDAY CAKE. I’m going to bring my shakes with me in the car so that I can pound one down be for I go so that I’m full before I see that cakes.

Ordered my Flip Mino Thursday night and thanks to a deal on Amazon I was able to sign up for Amazon Prime for one month free and get my video camera in 1 day for $3.99 (the shipping not the camera price.) I got the camera so that I can put video of the new baby up on the site as soon as she is born. Although I’m pretty sure that if the quality is decent enough I will try to post a some video blogs too.

Thought this would be appropriate since we are 14 days away from baby number 3!!!
16 Days Left
Only 16 days until our new girl baby is scheduled to arrive (Sept 5th). The girls are really excited… actually everyone is really excited. The time really moves quickly, it seems like its only been a little while (although I’m sure Angel would disagree.) We have been getting the house in order; cleaning, organizing and moving piles of stuff in to piles in the basement. The girls have moved into the one room, we bought them a bunk bed and they are loving it. The baby’s bedroom is fully setup just waiting patiently for her to arrive. Seeing as this is baby number three and another girl, we really didn’t have much to buy clothing or supply -wise. Angel bought a new stroller and car seat, she also bought some new crib bedding and my parents got us a new pack and play and her parents got Angel a rocker for the baby’s room. We had a doctors appt last Friday and they did an ultrasound everything looked good. The ultrasound lady said that she (the baby not the ultrasound lady) was 6 lbs 1 oz.
I will post a little more when we are closer to the date.

Day 3 of 28 – 262.8 lbs
So far 3 days into the diet. Yesterday was ungodly terrible. When you go from eating a carb filled diet to almost no carbs at all the human body really does not like it. Needless to say yesterday I had no energy, had a splitting headache and I was so hungry I thought I was going to die. That being said today should be much better. It takes about 2.5 days for the body to switch over from burning carbs for energy to in its absence using fat and once it does that I’m pretty sure I have an abundance of fuel.
