First Place!!!
And the winner’s are:
About a week before Halloween I entered a pumpkin carving contest on a blog called GEEKDAD and after almost of month of waiting and watching my pumpkin not win the readers choice prize that I had all my friends on Facebook vote for me, I actually took first place in the actual contest. I would like to say thanks everyone for voting for me in the readers choice portion of the contest even if I didn’t win that (I’m guessing the winners of that had more friends than I did), but I did win first prize!!! I guess I will have to start planning my next year’s pumpkin so we can make it a carving dynasty
Pumpkin Carving
Sunday we had nothing to do, no parties, no shopping, no sports no nothing. We got up, made waffles with my birthday present (a waffle maker) and then carved up some pumpkins about 7 to be exact. And after 4 hours with kids, gourds and sharp objects we had seven jack-o-lanterns, a sticky floor, thousand roasted pumpkin seeds and one of the nicest Sundays we can remember.
The Connnecticut Renaissance Faire
I had a geektastic time this weekend at the Connecticut Renaissance Faire with my two older daughters and friend Stacy. We all got dressed up, althought mine and Stacy’s outfit need some work but the kids looked great and we had a great time. And as for Angel and the baby, well they have one year to get their outfits ready
The Big E
I took the girls to The Big E this weekend with my Parents. Even though it was crummy weather we had a great time.
Welcome Home Mom and Baby

This week has been kind of hectic, Mom and Baby have come home and mom can’t do a lot because of the surgery but we are getting by… tired but getting by. The major issue is that sleeping is difficult. Not saying that Mia is a bad sleeper, she’s not. But she is a baby and babies need to eat every few hours. That being said she is a good eater and a good sleeper and doing great. My other daughters just can’t get enough of her and they so far have been great with her.
Also I would like to say thank you to everyone that has visited the blog, commented on facebook, watched the streaming video, sent us emails and has seen us in person. We appreciate your kind words and taking the time to make our special event even more special.
I’m going to try to post the video from the hospital on the site as well as upload some new pictures to flickr as well. Once again thank you all for spending this time with us.
Neil
